Qatar: Trump Pledges Israel Will Not Attack Doha Again

Qatar’s Foreign Ministry says the U.S. president has assured Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani that Israel will not launch another attack on Doha. The statement was made by ministry spokesman Majed Al Ansari following talks between the Qatari leader and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

According to the ministry, the discussions focused on “joint efforts to establish a ceasefire in Gaza” and on the aftermath of Israel’s recent attack on Doha. Qatar has described that attack as a “treacherous act” by Israel, stressing that its priority now is to defend national sovereignty, prevent a repeat of such incidents, and hold those responsible accountable.

Al Ansari sharply criticized Israel’s conduct, saying that Israel’s repeated violations of international law cannot continue and must be stopped. He added that Qatar is not interested in media reactions and has prioritized direct dialogue with the United States.

He also expressed gratitude for the support shown by Islamic and Arab countries after the attack, dismissing any talks between Hamas and Israel as illegitimate under the current circumstances. Al Ansari stated that Qatar will not accept any mediation proposals until its security and sovereignty are fully guaranteed.

Although no further details of Israel’s attack on Doha have been released, Qatari officials have voiced deep concern over the breach of the country’s sovereignty. The episode once again underscores Washington’s role in safeguarding the security of its allies in the Middle East.
