Taliban Denounces Pakistan’s Nighttime Attacks as ‘War Crimes’

The Taliban administration has strongly condemned last night’s attacks by the Pakistan army on parts of Afghan territory, describing them as a violation of national sovereignty and categorizing them as ‘war crimes.’ According to the administration, civilian homes in the provinces of Kunar, Khost, and Paktika were targeted in these attacks.

Mullah Hamdullah Fetrat, the deputy spokesman for the Taliban administration, stated that attacking civilians not only violates internationally accepted principles but also constitutes war crimes and crimes against humanity. He emphasized that targeting non-combatants is indefensible.

According to this official, what has been termed the ‘military regime of Pakistan’ has once again violated Afghanistan’s sovereignty through these attacks. No further details regarding possible casualties or damages have been released so far.

The provinces of Kunar, Khost, and Paktika lie along the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan and have previously experienced tensions and border clashes between the two sides.
