15 Jiribs of Land Allocated for Two Museums in Khost Province

Officials from the Directorate of Information and Culture in Khost have announced that 15 jiribs of land in the Bairag Tepe area of the province have been allocated for the construction of a public museum and a museum dedicated to preserving jihadist artifacts. Of this land, 10 jiribs are reserved for the Khost Public Museum, while the remaining 5 jiribs are designated for the specialized Jihadist Artifacts Preservation Museum.
According to information published by Bakhtar News Agency, this initiative is being carried out under the framework of the General Directorate for the Preservation of Jihadist Artifacts within the Taliban’s Ministry of Information and Culture and was launched by the Directorate of Information and Culture in Khost.
Mawlawi Mohammad Saber Saberi, head of Information and Culture in Khost, accompanied by Najib Amir, Director of Culture and Tourism, Mawlawi Mohammad Yasin Faiz, Director of Jihadist Artifacts Preservation, and representatives from the Municipality and Agriculture Departments visited the designated site. They assessed the land boundaries, geographical location, and technical specifications.
Officials stated that the Khost Public Museum currently operates within the Information and Culture Directorate’s building, but with the construction of a new facility, the conditions for properly preserving historical and cultural artifacts will be improved.
They also noted that the Jihadist Artifacts Preservation Museum will systematically maintain and display items, tools, and memorabilia related to the jihadist periods in Khost province.
Officials added that in the next stages, a land sketch will be prepared, and the matter will be reviewed in a provincial administrative meeting. After completing the legal procedures, construction work for both museums will commence. They believe that establishing these museums could play a significant role in protecting and promoting Khost’s historical, cultural, and jihadist heritage.
