Trump’s Senior AI Policy Advisor to Leave White House by Month-End

The senior artificial intelligence policy advisor in Donald Trump’s administration is set to resign from his position at the White House by the end of this month. This official, who played a key role in shaping pro-technology industry policies, has informed government authorities of his decision.

According to The Washington Post, citing an informed source, Sriram Krishnan, who is also known as a technology investor, plans to establish a newly founded institution after leaving his post. The organization is said to have significant influence over technology and AI-related policies.

During his tenure at the White House, Krishnan was one of the main figures behind the Trump administration’s approach to developing and regulating AI policies – a field that has recently become a central focus of global economic and technological competition.

His resignation comes amid earlier departures, including Mike Banks, head of the U.S. Border Patrol, and Tulsi Gabbard, U.S. National Intelligence Director, who have also stepped down from their positions. So far, no further details regarding the reasons behind these changes have been released.
