Pakistani Opposition Leader Emphasizes Mutual Respect Between Afghanistan and Pakistan

Mahmood Khan Achakzai, a Pakistani opposition leader, has stressed the necessity of mutual respect between Afghanistan and Pakistan, stating that both countries must honor each other’s sovereignty and independence. In a message posted on the social media platform X, Achakzai wrote that just as respecting Afghanistan’s sovereignty is fundamentally important, Afghans should likewise respect Pakistan’s independence under all circumstances. Achakzai described the relationship between Afghanistan and Pakistan as “brotherly” and emphasized maintaining these ties based on mutual respect. Afghanistan and Pakistan are neighboring countries with extensive historical, cultural, and economic connections, and their relations have always influenced regional developments.
