Afghan Liberation Front Claims Attack on Taliban Convoy in Kabul’s Surobi District

The Afghan Liberation Front has claimed that a military operation by its forces against Taliban administration troops in the Surobi district of Kabul province resulted in the death of one Taliban fighter and injuries to three others.
According to a statement released by the front on Sunday, May 24, the incident occurred on the evening of the previous Saturday in the Surobi district. The statement mentioned that this attack was part of a series of military operations conducted by the Liberation Front targeting Taliban positions and forces.
The Liberation Front identified the target of the attack as a “Taliban supply convoy,” which are typically used for transporting equipment, ammunition, and logistical support.
The Taliban administration has not yet responded to these claims. In recent months, armed groups opposing the Taliban have repeatedly claimed responsibility for sporadic attacks in Kabul and several other provinces; however, independent verification of these incidents remains difficult due to severe restrictions on information dissemination.
Previously, the Liberation Front also claimed to have targeted a Taliban-controlled military airfield base in Kabul with rocket attacks.
