Qatari Ambassador Meets Taliban’s Acting Minister of Information to Discuss Cultural Cooperation

The Taliban’s Ministry of Information and Culture announced that Murdaf Alqashouti, Qatar’s ambassador to Kabul, met on Sunday with Sher Ahmad Haqqani, the acting minister of the ministry, to discuss expanding cultural cooperation between the two sides.

According to a statement released by the ministry, both parties also exchanged views on programs aimed at enhancing the capacity and empowerment of Afghan youth. No further details regarding these programs have been disclosed.

During the meeting, the Qatari ambassador emphasized his country’s readiness to cooperate in cultural sectors and stated that culture can serve as a bridge to strengthen relations between nations.

In recent years, Qatar has been one of the countries actively engaged in political and diplomatic interactions with the Taliban administration, with its mission in Kabul remaining operational. Cultural cooperation is considered part of the ongoing engagements between the two sides.
