15 Drinking Water Networks Launched in Kunar Province

Fifteen potable water supply networks in Kunar province have been put into operation following the completion of construction work. These networks cover five districts, including the provincial capital Asadabad. With their activation, 7,600 families and 4,500 students now have access to clean water.

According to provided information, out of the total networks, four have been built for schools and eleven for local residents. The projects aim to improve access to safe drinking water and reduce issues resulting from water shortages in the mentioned areas.

The total cost of these projects was reported as 54 million Afghanis, funded by the Humanitarian Assistance Fund. The implementation was carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development.

Kunar province, located in eastern Afghanistan, faces challenges with safe drinking water access in some areas. The execution of such projects can help address a part of this essential need.
