Four Armed Robbery Gang Members Arrested in Herat

The Directorate of Interior Affairs of the Taliban announced that police forces from the 12th Security District of Herat Police Command have arrested four individuals accused of belonging to an armed robbery gang. According to the directorate, these individuals were involved in stealing property and vehicles from residents of Herat city.
The released statement said that as a result of a discovery operation, five stolen vehicles and one firearm were recovered from the detainees. Officials stated that these individuals are currently under the supervision of security forces.
Based on the information provided, the recovered vehicles were returned to their rightful owners after document verification.
Herat is one of the provinces where residents have repeatedly expressed concern over the increase in urban thefts in recent years. Despite periodic arrests announced by the Taliban administration, many citizens continue to demand stronger measures and greater transparency in ensuring security across different areas of the province.
