Taliban Spokesperson Claims Security Threats in Afghanistan Have Been Controlled

Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Taliban administration, announced that the security situation in Afghanistan has been “secured” and anti-security activities have been effectively managed. He emphasized that no group would be allowed to use Afghan territory against other countries.
In an interview with Tolo News, Mujahid added that the Taliban administration has full control over the security situation and has contained existing threats. According to him, security forces under the administration’s command are present across the country, preventing any actions against internal and regional security.
The Taliban administration has consistently reiterated its commitment to preventing the use of Afghan soil against other countries; a matter that, following recent political developments, remains one of the main concerns for the international community.
However, some past reports have indicated the activity of armed groups in certain areas, a matter that has always been met with denial and rejection by Taliban officials. So far, no independent and transparent mechanism has been provided to evaluate claims related to the country’s security situation.
