Roof Collapse in Badghis Claims Five Lives Including Four Children

Local Taliban officials in Badghis province have reported that the collapse of a house roof in Qala-e-Naw, the provincial capital, resulted in five casualties and two injuries.

Sediqullah Siddiqi, spokesman for the Taliban Security Command in Badghis, stated on Saturday, 25 April, that the incident occurred last night in the Baghaki area. According to him, the victims include four children and one woman.

According to the information provided, the roof of the house collapsed due to recent heavy rains. The poor condition of residential homes in some areas and their vulnerability to severe rainfall consistently put the residents of this province at risk.

This incident comes shortly after three people died following flash floods in the Khanjan district of Baghlan province yesterday. Taliban officials have stated that over the past month, more than 100 people have lost their lives across various parts of the country due to floods and heavy rains.
