Mysterious Killing of Afghan United Bank Branch Manager in Kabul’s City No

Barkatullah Kohestani, the manager of one of the branches of Afghan United Bank in Kabul’s City No area, was fatally attacked with a knife on the morning of Monday, April 6. Local sources report that the incident took place around 7:30 a.m. as he was heading to his workplace in the Qala-e-Najarha area of Kheyrkhana, part of the 11th police district of Kabul city.

According to sources, after stabbing him, the attackers moved his body to a small nearby room and hid it. So far, the identity and motives of the perpetrators remain unclear.

This incident occurs amid growing concerns among Kabul residents over rising criminal activity and the lack of security in certain parts of the capital. Despite the Taliban administration’s claims of maintaining security control, such events raise questions about the effectiveness of security measures and urban crime management.
