Rising Flood Death Toll in Nangarhar Following Heavy Rainfall

Local authorities in Nangarhar province have reported an increase in human casualties following heavy rains and floods in parts of eastern Afghanistan. According to officials, several areas in the province have been damaged, and fatalities have been recorded.

In the latest incident, two children lost their lives in the eighth district of Jalalabad city, in the Bahrabad area. Local sources stated that the tragedy occurred when the roof of a residential house collapsed due to the intense rainfall, resulting in the children’s deaths.

Residents say the recent rains have also caused financial losses, with several homes at risk of collapse. They have called for urgent assistance and preventive measures to avoid further casualties.
