Yemen Armed Forces Deny Saudi Claims of Missile Interception Over Medina

The spokesperson for Yemen’s armed forces has dismissed Saudi Arabia’s claim of intercepting a missile in the airspace of Medina as false and baseless. Yahya Saree, rejecting the accusation, stated that such allegations are frequently made with the aim of tarnishing the reputation of the Yemeni nation and its armed forces.

He emphasized that Yemen’s military operations are strictly limited to military targets and Saudi enemy oil facilities, and that the Yemeni people hold deep respect for Islamic holy sites. Saree added that the real threat to these holy sites comes from those who spread immorality and corruption in these places.

A few days ago, Yemen’s armed forces also described Saudi Arabia’s claim of shooting down a drone over Medina as a continuation of the kingdom’s widespread falsehoods. These repeated accusations by Saudi Arabia against the holy sites are seen as an attempt to conceal its military failures in Yemen and to tarnish the image of the country’s resistance forces.
