Specialized Cancer Hospital with Free Services to Be Built in Afghanistan

Meriwis Azizi, head of the Azizi Group, announced that a specialized hospital for treating cancer patients will soon be constructed in Afghanistan. According to him, medical services at this hospital will be provided free of charge.
In addition, a maternity and women’s hospital as well as a medical university are planned to be built alongside the cancer hospital. These initiatives have been introduced as part of the development of the country’s medical sector.
Azizi’s remarks were made during the signing ceremony of natural gas extraction contracts in the Jangal Kalan area of Jawzjan province and a coal mining contract in Pulkhumri, Baghlan province. These contracts, related to the mining and energy sectors, made no mention of the Taliban administration’s role in advancing or overseeing the projects.
