Al Mayadeen: Yemeni Forces Advance to Within 7 Kilometres of Taiz Centre
Al Mayadeen network, citing its bureau chief in Yemen, said reports had been received indicating that Yemeni armed forces had advanced to within about seven kilometres of the centre of Taiz, a city the network described as the main base of Saudi-allied forces.
According to the report, the advances on Yemen’s western and southern fronts are taking place alongside the continued attacks by Yemeni armed forces on Riyadh and other parts of Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, Anadolu Agency reported that, according to official Saudi figures, Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport has been targeted five times since last Tuesday.
The spokesman for the Saudi-led military coalition confirmed the latest attack on the airport on Sunday evening, saying an “unknown projectile” struck Terminal 4 at King Khalid Airport, causing a fire.
The coalition official also claimed that air defences intercepted and destroyed a cruise missile near King Khalid International Airport.
