Yemen Says Missile Strike Hit Riyadh’s King Khalid Airport

Yemen’s armed forces said they carried out a missile attack on Riyadh’s airport.
Yahya Saree, the spokesman for Yemen’s armed forces, said King Khalid Airport in Riyadh was targeted with a ballistic missile and that the attack disrupted operations at the airport.
In a press statement, he said the move was part of what he described as “retaliatory responses” to Saudi attacks on Yemeni territory, and claimed the missile hit its target “with precision.”
Saree also said a “Saudi enemy aircraft” was shot down while carrying out what he described as “hostile actions” in the skies over Taiz province, using what he called “an appropriate weapon.”
The spokesman for Yemen’s armed forces warned international airlines against continuing flights in Saudi airspace and voiced concern over the “consequences” of doing so. According to him, Saudi airspace — with the exception of the skies over the holy cities of Mecca and Medina — has “become a theatre of military operations.”
