Yemen army says 200 killed and wounded in clashes with Saudi-aligned forces

A spokesman for Yemen’s armed forces said at least 200 members of forces aligned with the “Saudi enemy” were killed or wounded as a result of attacks and clashes in the “past hours.”

According to MHR News, citing Al Masirah TV, Yahya Saree claimed the intensity of the attacks was “unprecedented” from a military and equipment standpoint compared with previous operations.

He said the movements of Saudi-aligned forces in Ras al-Ara and al-Saqiya were targeted in “dozens of attacks,” while other strikes were carried out against their positions in eastern al-Jawf. Saree added that some were killed and wounded in these attacks and that their equipment was also set on fire.

The spokesman for Yemen’s armed forces also reported similar attacks east of Ragwan in Marib province, saying Saudi-aligned forces were being pursued in various areas of Taiz and, according to him, some of those forces had fled the area.

He also referred to last night’s statement, saying the Yemeni armed forces had carried out three “special operations” using a large number of ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as drones. Saree added that in the first operation, King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh was targeted and, according to him, flights at the airport were disrupted.
