Israeli official figures say 2,347 killed in three years of war

Official figures from Israel’s Ministry of Defence show that 2,347 people have been killed since the war began on 7 October 2023, including 1,318 military and security personnel. According to the same figures, 87,286 others have been wounded.
The Israeli website Walla reported that the figures also include personnel from the army, police, the Shin Bet internal security service, the prisons service, and the fire and rescue service. Security coordinators in settlements and members of readiness teams were also counted in the figures.
According to Walla, those named above have been involved in fighting in the Gaza Strip, the southern and northern fronts, Lebanon and the West Bank since 7 October 2023.
The Israeli National Insurance Institute has also received nearly 43,000 applications for disability recognition, of which about 40,000 have been accepted. Most of the approved cases are related to injuries and psychological disorders.
