Pro-Palestinian march to be held in Ankara in support of Gaza

A march titled “Free Palestine for Gaza” will be held in Ankara on Oct. 7. Organisers say the event is being held to protest Israeli attacks on Gaza despite the Oct. 10, 2025 ceasefire and to draw attention to the humanitarian situation of Palestinians.
The march is being organised by non-governmental organisations that are members of the Ankara Palestine Solidarity Platform (ANFİDAP). The event will begin at 7 p.m. at Kocatepe Mosque and end at Melike Hatun Mosque, after which a gathering featuring speakers will be held.
Metin Mahitapoglu, the rotating spokesperson for the platform, described protesting what he called “Israel’s occupation and genocide in Palestine” as a human responsibility. He said the platform has taken part in public events in support of Palestine over the past three years and is also holding events this year from Oct. 4 to 10 under the title “Palestine Week.”
