Belgium minister calls for return of Afghan convicts without legal residency

Belgium’s Minister for Asylum and Migration, Anneleen Van Bossuyt, has said that Afghans who have been convicted of crimes in the country and do not have legal residence documents should be returned to Afghanistan after serving their sentences.

She added that contact with Afghan officials over the return of these people does not mean support for the Taliban administration.
