Magnitude 5.2 earthquake shakes Baghlan early Thursday

An earthquake measuring 5.2 struck Afghanistan’s Baghlan province early on Thursday, the ninth of میزان. So far, there has been no information on possible casualties or damage from the event.

According to data from the US Geological Survey, the quake was recorded at a depth of 49.6 kilometers, and its epicenter was about seven kilometers east-southeast of the city of Baghlan.

The tremor was also felt in some neighbouring provinces. The Taliban administration has so far given no explanation about the earthquake.
