Russia Says It Has Seized Three Settlements in Ukraine

Russia’s Defence Ministry said its forces had captured three settlements in Ukraine’s Kharkiv and Sumy regions and in the Zaporizhzhia area. The ministry also said Russian forces continued to advance on several fronts.

According to a statement from the Russian Defence Ministry, the settlements of Shabilnevoye in Kharkiv region, Tolstodubovo in Sumy region and Yegorovka in the Zaporizhzhia area have come under the control of Russian forces.

The ministry said Russian forces had improved their positions on various fronts and inflicted damage on Ukrainian army personnel and equipment. Moscow put the number of Ukrainian casualties on these fronts at hundreds.

The statement also said a number of military and armoured vehicles, artillery equipment and electronic warfare systems had been destroyed. The Russian Defence Ministry added that its forces in the Kharkiv region had tightened the encirclement of Ukrainian troops and had also advanced in the town of Dobropillia.
