Netanyahu Sues Israeli Media Over Reports on Pre-Oct. 7 Warnings

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has filed a lawsuit against several media outlets and journalists over reports about warnings issued before Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, which he says are inaccurate.

Israeli Channel 12 reported that Netanyahu has sued the network, the newspapers Haaretz and Yedioth Ahronoth, the news website Ynet, and a number of journalists.

Netanyahu’s office said he was taking action against what it called “published lies” about receiving advance warnings before the operation. Netanyahu has described the reports as “pure falsehood.”

He also claimed the publication of these reports ahead of the October election is aimed at toppling his government and bringing Arab parties to power and establishing a Palestinian state, and he attributed the effort to political rivals and foreign parties.
