Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister announces protest march against Pakistan government on October 4

Muhammad Sohail Afridi, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, has said a protest march against the Pakistan government will be held on October 4, and that participants will not be armed. He stressed that the march will be peaceful.

At a news conference, Afridi accused the Pakistan government of economic failure and corruption. He claimed the country’s economic growth had fallen to 2.3 percent, debt had reached 99 trillion rupees, and 44.5 percent of the population was living below the poverty line.

He warned that if any action was taken against the march, people would react. Afridi also said that if anyone carried dangerous materials, those materials would be handed over to police.
