Taliban administration stresses access to information in Afghanistan

The spokesperson for the Taliban administration’s Ministry of Information and Culture said on the occasion of the International Day for Universal Access to Information that the administration is committed to ensuring citizens’ access to information and is trying to provide the public with the necessary information through the media.

Khabib Ghafran said the Taliban administration’s Ministry of Information and Culture is working to provide the public with the information it needs through the media.

The remarks came as the International Day for Universal Access to Information is observed every year to emphasize citizens’ right to receive information and the accountability of public institutions.
