Afghanistan futsal team begins training camp in Tehran

The Afghanistan national futsal team has begun a training camp in Tehran as it prepares for the six-nation tournament in Brazil. The camp is being held to get the players ready ahead of the competition.

The Afghanistan Futsal Committee said in a statement that the training programme will continue for 15 days in Tehran. No further details have been released about the squad or the schedule of friendly matches.

Afghanistan have been drawn in Group B of the six-nation tournament in Brazil, alongside Peru and Japan. The competition will be held from October 12 to 18, 2026.

The Brazil six-nation tournament is considered one of futsal’s preparatory events and can provide participating teams with an opportunity for further preparation before more official competitions.
