Hamid Karzai condemns Pakistani airstrikes on three Afghan provinces

Hamid Karzai, Afghanistan’s former president, has condemned Pakistan’s airstrikes early this morning on the provinces of Kandahar, Khost and Paktia, saying Islamabad is continuing a policy whose consequences, he said, have now also reached Pakistan itself.

In a post on his X account, he said Pakistan should know that Afghans, regardless of any differences, stand united and as one against these attacks.

Karzai also once again called on the Pakistani government to adopt a policy of good neighbourliness toward Afghanistan.

Kandahar, Khost and Paktia are among the provinces bordering or close to the Durand Line, and in recent years security and military tensions in these areas have repeatedly heightened concerns between the two countries.
