Afghan Boxing Referee Khyber Sultani Heads to China for International Festival

Khyber Sultani, Afghanistan’s national and international boxing referee, has travelled to Xinjiang, China, to officiate at the ninth International Boxing Festival.

Sports officials said the competition will be held in China from September 21 to 30, and Sultani will serve as a referee at the event in cooperation with the International Boxing Association and Afghanistan’s General Directorate of Physical Education and Sports.

At the same time, Afghanistan’s national boxing team, which had already arrived in China, has completed a two-day training camp and has prepared for its participation in the competition.

According to officials, the Afghan team will take part in the international festival with a squad of seven athletes, two coaches and one administrative board member.

Xinjiang is a region in western China, and international sporting events have been hosted there before.
