Pakistani Warplanes Strike Two Areas in Barmal, Paktika

Local sources in Afghanistan’s Paktika province say Pakistani warplanes carried out two airstrikes early this morning, at around 4:00 a.m., in the Rakhka and Tor Kanday areas of Barmal district.

According to these sources, the strikes hit an empty house and a shop. So far, no details have been released about any possible casualties from the incident.

Local sources also said the strikes took place in areas under Barmal district, which lies along the border with Pakistan and has previously seen occasional security tensions.
