Pakistani Airstrikes in Kunar and Paktika Leave Three Dead

Three people were killed and four others wounded in Pakistani airstrikes on the provinces of Kunar and Paktika. The attacks were carried out early on Monday.

Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Taliban administration, condemned the strikes and called them a repeat of a “war crime.” In a post on X on Monday, 30 Saratan, he said Pakistan’s military leadership had launched the attack again to divert public attention from security failures inside the country.

The Taliban administration spokesman also warned that the attacks “will not go unanswered.” He gave no details about how any possible response might take place or any further information on the matter.

The provinces of Kunar and Paktika are located near the border with Pakistan, and tensions and cross-border attacks have been reported in these areas in the past.
