Lebanon MP Says Hezbollah’s Military Capability Remains Intact
Lebanese MP Hassan Fadlallah has said Hezbollah is adhering to the will of Hassan Nasrallah, and that claims of its demise are “nothing but an illusion.” He also stressed that the group still has the ability to carry out military operations and target Israeli positions.
According to Mehr news agency, citing the Lebanese outlet Al-Nashra, Fadlallah urged people to stand firm alongside Hezbollah’s leadership and remain patient. He said the current situation would not last, and that ease would come after hardship.
The member of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc said the United States and Israel are seeking to erase their past defeats from the region’s political memory, impose new equations, and build a future in which they do not face military threats.
Fadlallah also rejected claims that recent Israeli attacks were the result of the “support front” in southern Lebanon. He said those attacks were rooted in Israel’s earlier plans and ambitions.
He added that Israeli threats are not limited to southern Lebanon or to any one group, but extend across the entire country. Fadlallah also said Lebanon would be affected by the new regional equations.
Speaking about Iran, the Lebanese lawmaker said Tehran does not need Hezbollah’s support, and that it is Hezbollah that now relies on Iran.
Hassan Fadlallah is one of Hezbollah’s affiliated figures and a member of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc in the Lebanese parliament, a faction that advances the group’s political positions in the Chamber of Deputies.
