CNN Says American Support for Israel Is Declining

CNN has reported that indicators of support for Israel in the United States have turned negative, and that opposition among some American voters to this support is also strengthening.

According to the network, support for Israel is no longer limited to left-wing movements in the US and has now become a broader domestic debate in the country.

Meanwhile, the results of a poll previously released by the Associated Press in collaboration with the NORC Center for Public Affairs Research show a decline in the importance of support for Israel among young American Jews. Based on the survey, only 42% of American Jews under the age of 45 said that support for Israel is an important principle of their religious identity.

Also, 37% of Jews under 45 believe that Israel’s attacks in the Gaza Strip are clearly an example of genocide.

This comes as a team of experts appointed by the United Nations Human Rights Council also concluded that Israel had committed genocide in the Gaza Strip. The Gaza Strip has repeatedly been described in reports by international bodies as the main hub of the humanitarian crisis and ongoing conflict in the region.
