Taliban administration to share priorities of 13 sectoral agencies with donors
The Taliban administration says it has begun sharing the priorities of 13 sectoral agencies with United Nations representatives, international organisations, donors and development partners.
The Public Relations Department of the Economic Deputy Office of the Taliban prime minister’s office said the first meeting in this framework was held yesterday. According to the department, the purpose of the meeting was to share the priorities of Afghanistan’s sectoral agencies with aid organisations.
According to an announcement from the Economic Deputy Office, the first meeting shared the priorities of the Taliban administration’s Technical and Vocational Education Department with the relevant organisations. These priorities included infrastructure and equipment, training programmes, and development and capacity-building.
The Taliban administration’s Economic Deputy Office also said that, in the next step, the priorities of 13 sectoral departments will be shared gradually with donors.
The Economic Deputy Office of the prime minister is considered one of the key departments of the Taliban administration in coordinating economic and development issues, and sectoral agencies are usually in contact with domestic and foreign donors to attract aid and advance their programmes.
