10 Metal Detectors Seized on Islam Qala-Herat Highway in Afghanistan

Police officials on the Herat provincial highway announced that during a discovery operation along the Islam Qala route, 10 devices specially designed to detect valuable items and underground historical artifacts were found and confiscated.

According to these officials, the equipment was being used to search for precious goods and ancient relics underground.

In connection with this incident, one individual was arrested and, after filing a case, handed over to judicial authorities.

The Islam Qala highway is one of the key transit routes in western Afghanistan, connecting Herat province to the Iranian border and is constantly monitored by security forces.
