Taliban Administration Expresses Condolences Following Coal Mine Explosion in Balochistan

The Taliban administration has expressed its condolences following a coal mine explosion in the Surinj area of Pakistan’s Balochistan province that resulted in the deaths of 34 miners. Abdul Qahar Balkhi, spokesperson for the Taliban’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that in addition to the 34 fatalities, several other workers remain missing. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in its statement prayed for forgiveness for the deceased and wished patience and endurance for their families. Balochistan, located in southwest Pakistan, is known for extensive coal mining activities, and similar mining accidents in recent years have claimed the lives of dozens of workers in the province.
