Drone Attack Targets Oil Tanker in the Caspian Sea
The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) has announced that an oil tanker was targeted by a drone attack while loading oil at one of the consortium’s floating terminals, leading to the suspension of loading operations.
According to the consortium, the fire caused by the attack has been controlled, with no reported casualties or significant damage.
Media reports indicate that the tanker, operating under the Marshall Islands flag in the Caspian Sea, did not experience any oil leakage following the attack.
The CPC stated that the coastal facilities related to this project continue to operate normally.
The Caspian Pipeline Consortium is one of the major international oil pipeline projects, involving Russia, Kazakhstan, and several large energy companies, and it handles a significant portion of the region’s oil exports.
