CENTCOM: New US Attacks on Iranian Targets Carried Out Under Direct Order of President Trump

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that American forces, under the direct order of President Donald Trump, have conducted new attacks on targets in Iran. According to CENTCOM, these operations aimed to “reduce Tehran’s ability to threaten freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.”
A US official also confirmed to Axios news outlet that the US military targeted several Iranian military sites in the Strait of Hormuz region. The official stated that the targets included coastal radar installations, anti-ship missile launch sites, and air defense systems.
CENTCOM emphasized that these attacks were carried out on the instructions of the US president and alleged that Iran was responsible for recent actions against commercial vessels. The announcement did not mention a ceasefire or any claim of its violation.
According to the US official, the scope of the operation was broader compared to previous days. Meanwhile, the Israeli Radio and Television Corporation cited an Israeli source reporting that the US informed Tel Aviv of its decision prior to carrying out the strikes.
The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most strategic energy transit chokepoints, and any military tensions in this area could have extensive regional and international consequences.
