Afghan Delegation Attends Funeral Ceremony of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in Iran
An Afghan delegation led by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the Economic Deputy of the Taliban Prime Minister’s Office, arrived in Iran to participate in the funeral and burial ceremony of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the martyred leader of Iran, and was officially welcomed by Iranian officials.
According to a video released by Iran’s official news agency IRNA, the delegation was received by Iranian authorities yesterday, and its members paid their respects to the martyred leader at the ceremony venue.
The official funeral and burial ceremonies are set to begin today and will continue for several days. Iranian officials have not provided further details about the event schedule.
Meanwhile, some media outlets have reported that Iran has issued hundreds of free visas to participants of the ceremony, including Afghan citizens.
