Two Separate Traffic Accidents in Laghman and Nangarhar Claim Five Lives

Officials from the Taliban administration and local sources have reported that two separate traffic incidents in Laghman and Nangarhar provinces have resulted in at least five deaths and seven injuries.
According to Mohammadyounes Yousafzai, spokesperson for the Taliban security command in Laghman, on the morning of Saturday, 6th Saratan, a vehicle veered off the road and overturned in the village of Taroo in the Alishing district. This accident claimed the lives of three people and injured two others. The injured were transferred to Laghman’s central hospital in Mehtarlam city, where their condition is reported to be stable. The official stated that driver negligence was the cause of this incident.
Simultaneously, local sources in Nangarhar province reported another accident on the Torkham-Jalalabad route. This incident occurred before noon today in the Daki area of Momand Dara district, resulting in two deaths and five injuries.
The exact cause of this accident remains unclear, and Taliban officials in Nangarhar have not yet commented on the matter. Traffic accidents on the country’s highways claim the lives of citizens every year, highlighting the urgent need for serious attention to road conditions, enforcement of traffic laws, and effective monitoring of vehicle movement.
