UN-Habitat to Build Three Water Supply Networks in Dasht-e-Archi, Kunduz

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) has announced that, with financial support from the UN Multi-Partner Trust Fund, three new water supply networks will be constructed in the Dasht-e-Archi district of Kunduz province to provide hundreds of families with access to safe drinking water.

According to the organization, the objective of this project is to provide clean water and improve hygiene conditions in the villages and underserved areas of the district. Residents in these areas have previously faced shortages of sanitary water and related problems.

Dasht-e-Archi is a district in Kunduz province located in the northeast of the country, where many families rely on limited and substandard water resources. Access to safe drinking water is considered one of the fundamental needs of the people in these areas.

UN-Habitat emphasized that access to clean water is a right for all citizens, and implementing such projects can play an important role in enhancing quality of life and advancing public health levels in local communities.
