National Resistance Front Reports Killing Three Taliban Fighters in Kabul Attack

The National Resistance Front has announced that a targeted attack on a military vehicle belonging to the Taliban forces in Kabul resulted in the deaths of three Taliban members and left one wounded. The incident took place on the evening of Sunday, June 14, in the Sark Silo area, part of the fifth district of Kabul city.
According to a statement released by the Front, the attack caused no civilian casualties and did not harm any resistance forces. The National Resistance Front emphasized that the operation specifically targeted Taliban military personnel.
The statement further asserted that “the National Resistance Front forces continue their targeted attacks across various parts of Afghanistan with the aim of liberating the people and the country from the illegitimate rule of the terrorist Taliban group.”
So far, the Taliban administration has not responded to these allegations. In recent months, reports have indicated an increase in guerrilla and targeted attacks by the National Resistance Front in several provinces, particularly Kabul, Panjshir, and Takhar. These attacks highlight ongoing insecurity and security challenges under Taliban rule in the country.
The National Resistance Front, led by Ahmad Massoud, son of the late Ahmad Shah Massoud — a national hero of Afghanistan — began its political and military activities following the fall of the previous regime and identifies itself as one of the main opposition movements against the Taliban administration.
