Taliban administration says it held talks with Iran on expanding postal cooperation
The General Directorate of Emirati Companies under the Taliban administration said that Rahmatullah Maki, chief executive of Afghan Post, held talks with Mohammad Ahmadi, chief executive of Iran Post, on expanding postal cooperation.
According to the administration, the meeting took place on the sidelines of the 14th Congress of the Asia-Pacific Postal Union, and the two sides discussed expanding cooperation in postal services, e-commerce, air and land transit shipments, and improving the quality of postal services.
The Taliban administration also said that a delegation from Afghan Post will travel to Iran in the near future at the official invitation of Iran.
Afghan Post is the body responsible for postal services in Afghanistan, and the Asia-Pacific Postal Union is one of the channels for cooperation among postal administrations in the region.
