Human Rights Foundation Condemns Pakistani Airstrikes on Civilian Areas in Afghanistan

The International Human Rights Foundation (IHRF) has expressed deep concern over military airstrikes conducted by Pakistan targeting civilian areas in several provinces of Afghanistan. The organization has called for an immediate investigation into these incidents, stating that targeting residential homes could constitute possible violations of human rights and international humanitarian law.
According to reports, Pakistani forces launched airstrikes on Tuesday night in the provinces of Khost, Paktika, and Kunar, resulting in the deaths of 11 children, one woman, and one elderly person. Additionally, 14 others, including women and children, were injured. These attacks are said to have targeted residential areas.
In its statement, IHRF urged the United Nations Human Rights Council and the International Criminal Court to independently investigate these events, document evidence, and facilitate accountability for potential perpetrators.
The foundation emphasized that the protection of civilians during armed conflicts is a fundamental principle of international humanitarian law, and any attacks against civilian populations may have legal consequences.
