Eight Suspects Prevented from Traveling with Fake Documents at Kabul Airport

The General Directorate of Borders announced that in the past week, eight individuals attempting to leave the country using forged documents from Kabul International Airport were prevented from traveling. According to the directorate, these individuals tried to exit the country using tampered documents, altered identity photos, and other illegal methods, but were identified and stopped by the border control personnel at the airport. Abdollah Farouqi, spokesperson for the Border Directorate, emphasized that border forces do not allow anyone to travel based on forged or illegal documents, and that monitoring in this regard continues. Meanwhile, the citizens’ attempts to travel with fake documents reflect growing concerns and restrictions faced by many residents. Experts believe that the intensification of internal restrictions and the lack of legal travel opportunities have created conditions for the activity of document forgery networks, highlighting the Taliban administration’s responsibility to ensure transparency and establish more legitimate travel pathways.
