Thousands of Students in Shindand Study Without School Buildings Amid Harsh Weather

Officials in Shindand district of Herat province have announced that due to a shortage of standard school buildings, thousands of students are forced to continue their education outdoors, exposed to extreme heat and cold.

According to these officials, the lack of educational infrastructure has led students to hold classes in open areas without basic facilities. This situation poses serious health and concentration challenges for the students during both the hot and cold seasons.

Local residents have also expressed concern over the ongoing conditions, stating that the absence of standard school buildings has significantly reduced the quality of education. They have called on the Taliban administration to take immediate and practical measures to construct schools and provide necessary educational facilities.

Education experts emphasize that providing a safe and suitable learning environment is a fundamental responsibility of any ruling body, warning that the continuation of such conditions could negatively impact the educational future of the young generation in this district.
