Flood in Nuristan Kills Around 70 Livestock Amid Heavy Rains and Hail

The media office of Nuristan province announced that in the aftermath of heavy rainfall and hailstorms in Kamdish district, flooding swept through parts of the district causing significant damage to local residents.
According to the office, the flood impacted the village of Nangil in Kamdish district, resulting in the death of about 70 head of livestock, including cows, calves, goats, and sheep. Livestock is one of the primary sources of income for families in these areas.
Local residents say that the recent rains and hail have caused extensive damage to their livestock, placing several families under severe economic strain. They have called on relevant authorities and aid organizations to provide immediate assistance to the affected families.
The Nuristan provincial media office expressed regret over the incident and stated that the responsible departments will take necessary measures to assess the extent of the damage and address the needs of the affected families.
