Herat Factory Begins Production of 300 Types of Industrial Parts

A machinery and industrial parts manufacturing factory in Herat province has started operations with an investment of one million dollars, producing around 300 types of industrial components and equipment for the market.

Officials at the factory say the products include various machinery and parts needed by industrial sectors, and efforts have been made to meet part of the domestic market demand through local production.

According to them, about 70 people work in the factory across two shifts. The officials added that most of the workforce consists of compatriots who have returned to the country after years of residence in Iran and Pakistan.

Herat is recognized as one of the important industrial provinces in western Afghanistan, and establishing such factories can contribute to the growth of domestic production and provide job opportunities for the residents of this province.
