UAE Claims Missile Attack and Temporary Flight Suspensions Amid Drone Strike at Fujairah Oil Facilities

The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defense stated that four missiles were fired towards its territory, an incident monitored by military authorities. According to the ministry, the cruise missiles were launched from Iran, a claim that has not yet received an official response from Tehran.

Simultaneously, the Fujairah media office reported that a drone attack at the emirate’s oil industrial zone caused a fire. Local officials indicated the incident resulted in damage, although further details regarding the extent of the damage have not been released.

Flight tracking network FlightRadar claimed that all flights to and from Dubai and Sharjah were temporarily suspended. This move comes as Abu Dhabi and Dubai authorities issued warnings about a potential missile attack threat and urged residents to seek shelter.

Al Jazeera, citing Fujairah officials, also reported that three Indian nationals were injured as a result of the drone strike on the oil facilities. The health status of the injured and additional details about the incident have not yet been officially disclosed.
