Javier Milei’s Popularity Plummets Amid Argentina’s Economic Crisis

A recent survey in Argentina reveals a significant rise in public dissatisfaction with President Javier Milei’s handling of the economy, with around 60 percent of respondents expressing discontent. In contrast, only about 33 percent support his policies.

According to the survey, many Argentinians say that despite Milei’s campaign promises to control the economic crisis, their living conditions have not improved. During his election campaign, he emphasized widespread economic reforms and enjoyed support from some international allies, including the United States.

However, the published data shows that economic pressures continue to weigh heavily on families. Over 80 percent of respondents reported having to cut back on living expenses, with the majority saying that their monthly income only covers costs until roughly the twentieth of each month.

Argentina has faced serious economic challenges in recent years, including high inflation and a decline in citizens’ purchasing power. These issues have become central topics in the country’s political and social debates, affecting public support for the government.
